Owner-editable policy draft · November 6, 2026

Draft for owner review. This describes the current static-site setup, not legal advice or a lawyer-reviewed policy. Jack should review and revise it before relying on it publicly.

Practical questions come first

We organize research around demand, occupancy, winter, backup and relative cost. We do not publish rankings solely because a product has a higher commission. Reducing demand or not buying can be the right answer.

Sources and limitations

Manufacturer product pages and manuals are the starting point for equipment facts. Public safety guidance supports general cautions. Specifications are not independently verified lab measurements. We do not invent credentials, certifications, field trials or a review team.

Corrections and safety

Working links can still point to changed products or recalled equipment. Current safety notices and manuals take priority. Send corrections through the contact page, including the page name and a public source. The withdrawn Midea pick illustrates why an HTTP success alone is not an endorsement.

Tools and updates

The questionnaire uses editable deterministic rules, not AI-generated personal advice. The calculator uses visible planning assumptions, not a building model or electrical design. Jack Quinn is responsible for reviewing changes; commercial and technical statements should be checked before public reliance.

Independence

No affiliate accounts are active. Future paid relationships must be disclosed near the relevant links. Original generic illustrations are not product photographs. No confidential client material is part of the published guide.
